Hey Beautiful!

Where do I start?? I would say my love for hair began when my mom took me to my first partial highlight appointment at Tanglz Salon in Appleton, WI. I would watch the stylist weave and foil for hours and never get bored. I continued that curiosity into middle school where I highlighted my best friend's hair at the time with the classic Sally Beauty Flash Lightening 30 Vol Bleach Kit by Manic Panic. Honestly, a few tiger stripes later it was not too bad. But don't worry, now I understand how high to put the bleach in the foil to avoid those hideous stripes lol.

Once High School hit, my love for makeup began. For prom one year my mom set up her office with 2 folding tables and placed the long exercise room mirror on top. I was so excited to be able to lay out all my makeup brushes and palettes, as well as, hot tools for hair styling. It was like my own personal salon studio and I LOVED it. I had 5 of my close friends come that morning to let me do their hair and makeup. I felt so honored that they trusted me. I was just having so much fun making everyone look beautiful that when one of the moms tipped me I was so confused. I didn't even realize this was a career. Now my mind started to think, what can I do with these talents?

My parents had always told me getting a 4-year degree was important and I knew that didn't mean cosmetology. So while I decided to get a Bachelor of Business Marketing there were nights I'd stay up late researching beauty schools in Los Angeles. I even put my email down for some to get updates on programs. I always felt like I belonged there even though I had never visited. Part of me thinks it's because my mom named me Kali, how could I not live in Cali? This degree ended up doing more for me than I would have ever thought at 18 years old. It helped me land my first job in LA allowing me to move out here right after college and most importantly it gave me all the skills I needed to run my own business.

After my first year in LA I found my way back to beauty. I worked at MAC Cosmetics for about a year. Major beauty influencers like Jeffree Star, Jaclyn Hill, Lipstick Nick, and many more who got their start in makeup with MAC and I was so excited to become part of the family. Shortly after that, I started working at a salon where my passion for hair was reignited. I started working toward my cosmetology license right away and along that journey I was introduced to hair extensions. I was OBSESSED! Their transformative power was so incredible I wanted to give every woman the confidence boost and feminine power that comes with them. I swear they change the way you walk lol.

I am beyond grateful for my journey and everyone who supported me along the way - clients, friends, & of course family. My passion truly lies in being able to transform a person with hair and makeup and give them a look they have only dreamt about. I live for the smile and sometimes tears of happiness that appear across my client's face when I reveal their final look. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their hair or makeup. I look forward to continuing to perfect my craft to make you feel as confident and sexy as possible.
